A Nasty Immigration Bill in Georgia
The Georgia House has passed a bill to impose a fee on illegal immigrants' wire transfers home.
Even some Republicans who don't like immigration see this bill as abusive:
[State Rep. Austin Scott (R-Tifton)] said he believes Rice’s bill would “tax people who are doing the best they can to provide for their families.“I’ve got a moral problem with that,” he said.
