Sullivan ridiculed the Economist for finding the failure of Zambia's copper privatization an interesting story. As Brad notes, Sullivan reflects the elitist self-satisfied attitudes of many Western journalists (who can spend months tracking the whereabouts of one missing DC intern) but wouldn't see a real story in 15,000 workers having their lives destroyed due to neoliberal policies pushed by the West.
