<< The Torricelli Memo | Main | Poetic Irony- Estrada Screened Clerks on Ideology >> September 27, 2002Syria's Got a PointSyria's state-run TV is blasting the US for double standards in calling for invasion of Iraq for ignoring UN resolutions, while it ignores Israel's defiance of the recent UN resolution demanding it end the siege of Arafat's headquarters. Since Israel basically meets every reason listed by Bush under international law for invasion of Iraq-- oppression of internal minorities, defiance of UN resolutions, stockpiling of weapons of mass destruction -- it does leave the US with little credibility.
