Not In Our Name

New Yorkers says No to Iraq War.
This article is relatively accurate-- although as is typical, the media halved the size of the rally, claiming 10,000 people, while the organizers doubled the real number in their estimates to 50,000. I was working on the legal observing team-- nothing to do since the cops were well behaved -- so we idled away in the sun doing the basic count. A good solid 20,000 folks with a relaxed vibe with families and strollers galore.

One thing the article did not mention is the campaign by the Not in Our Name coalition to promote people distributing and signing the following "Pledge of Resistance" to oppose any upcoming war:

done by our government, in our names
