Expect this lie to get blanket coverage in the media. Well, OK, it's not a lie. A prevarication.

That reminds me of Bill Gates recent announcement that he will donate $200 million to medical research for Africa. The grant is not intended for actually PROVIDING medical treatments, it is intended to be spent on researching what specific health-care provisions will best help Africa.
This all sounds just great until you learn that Bill Gates has been shifting his money into pharmaceutical companies, it is his largest single stock holding outside of Microsoft. Bill's "investment in healthcare" is seed money for his own pharma investments. Nobody will be surprised when the result is declared, that what Africa needs is to spend billions with Schering-Plough, Merck, or any of the other companies that Bill partly owns.
Even worse, Bill's "donation" is a political propaganda piece, targeted at his weakest market. One country (IIRC it was Zambia) refused one of Bill's multimillion dollar donation of Windows systems because they couldn't afford the annual licensing fees once the donation was over. They chose Linux instead. Bill was infuriated, and this donation is just more propaganda to get the Africans into the Microsoft monopoly. This should give you a pretty good idea of the agenda behind these sorts of initiatives.
