Now Ashcroft and company are talking about taking over regulation of driver's licenses, mostly in order to block states from granting them to undocumented immigrants. The California legislature passed a bill to license undocumented immigrants last year, only to have it vetoed by Governor Davis. Now, they are debating it again.
