RIAA Shakes Down Housing Project Kid

Okay, the RIAA is truly evil.

They just shook down a 12-year old child from the housing projects in NYC for $2000 in their file swapping lawsuits, an honors student no less.

So they are taking the money from her college fund in their little war. I hope folks download enough music tonight to cost them far more in lost profits. I'm sure not buying a CD anytime soon.

Update: A peer-to-peer trade group has offered to pay the little girl's fine to the RIAA. Smart move by the RIAA- be the evil destroyer of the college dreams of a housing project child, then have their enemy play the white knight paying the fines.
