Rush in Drug Sting

New York Daily news has a front page story on Rush Limbaugh in pill probe-- meaning Rush may be about to be arrested for illegal use of drugs (prescription ones in his case).

But he doesn't deal on the street-- no, no, no; he deals in drugs like any good rich person: he had his maid act as his connection:

The moralizing motormouth was turned in by his former housekeeper - who says she was Limbaugh's pill supplier for four years...

Cline told the Enquirer she went to prosecutors with information about Limbaugh and others after four years of drug deals that included clandestine handoffs in a Denny's parking lot.

She said she wore a wire during her last two deliveries to the conservative commentator and gave the tapes to authorities.

All this from a man who regularly attacks drug legalization callers as "pot heads" and has beat the drums for long jail sentences for illegal drug users.

I'm against the drug war, but maybe having Rush in jail might center some minds on the costs of the war.

Of couse, Rush abused elite drugs, not street drugs, so he's far less likely to get a serious sentence-- part of the racism and elitism of our drug laws. But even a short time in jail could change his perspective quite a bit.
