<< Bernstein's Shady Defense of Lochner | Main | More Bad Legal History >> November 02, 2003Political CompassOn the The Political Compass, I'm about where I'd expect, off on the far left and hard libertarian on social values. Economic Left/Right: -9.25 It's a cute test. Posted by Nathan at November 2, 2003 10:00 PM Related posts:

More so than the foreign policy survey, which was slick--but as you and others noted--missing some key parameters. I just found your site today, btw--have enjoyed spending a good bit of it browsing and reading. Thanks for all your careful, thoughtful effort. Posted by: scylla at November 3, 2003 01:07 AM I never know what to think about me; I need someone else to explain me to myself. So I love surveys like this. Not only can I compare myself to the rest of the world, I can see where I stand in comparison to Nathan! Economic Left/Right: -7.75 (not as left as Nathan) Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.51 (more libertarian than Nathan) Posted by: Steven Rubio at November 3, 2003 02:53 AM 3 blocks south of Nelson Mandela. I can live with that. Posted by: john c. halasz at November 3, 2003 03:10 AM Wow! You folks are a bunch of radicals! And there I was feeling good about ranking in like the Dalai Lama (-3.75/-5.44). Posted by: Benedict@Large at November 3, 2003 05:07 AM Well I came in at least ON the chart.. the last one of these I took (a simpler one) my little dot looked like it was heading far south west and off the graph. A shade under -9 in both categories. Very entertaining.. thanks. Posted by: Marisacat at November 3, 2003 04:10 PM Whaoo! I am more moderate than Nathan, today. I suppose it matters what mood you are in at the time you take it. Posted by: Steve at November 3, 2003 09:07 PM It seems that I'm more left than Yglesias, but quite moderate for this crowd. Not a shocker, I guess. Posted by: MDtoMN at November 3, 2003 10:15 PM Chillin' with the Lama. Economic Left/Right: -5.75 Posted by: jdw at November 3, 2003 10:19 PM i wonder how close most bloggers are to the average of their readers....i'd be especially interested in knowing which bloggers have readers with significantly different results... that does not seem to be the case here. ;-) Economic Left/Right: -7.75 Posted by: selise at November 4, 2003 11:14 AM We're just about in the same place, only a few tenths of points changed. Economic left/right: -9.62 Posted by: Incadenza at November 4, 2003 08:43 PM Economic Left/Right: -7.00 Posted by: Richard Wilson at November 11, 2003 03:31 PM Once more I find myself holding down the left side of the right side of the left: Economic -6.12, Libertarian -4.15. I think it was my support for re-education camps for Fox News viewers that bumped me past all you live-and-let-live types. Posted by: Michael Berube at November 15, 2003 05:51 PM Post a comment
