<< Civil Rights Act of 2004 | Main | NFL: Sex & Violence- no AIDS >> February 12, 2004A Window into Rightwing DiscontentThis is FreeRepublic thread between conservatives over how pissed off grassroots rightwingers are with Bush, some defending him to the end, others trashing him for "betrayals" on spending, his immigration policy, and so on. Fun to watch :) Posted by Nathan at February 12, 2004 08:55 PM Related posts:
Trackback PingsTrackBack URL for this entry: CommentsThis truly is very amusing, Nathan. My favorite part is someone referring to trying to get President Kerry's attention during all the "Jane Fonda parties" he'd throw. My god, do these people live in some conservative culture time warp? When was the last time JF was an active political figure? 15 or 20 years ago? Or do they just hate aerobics? But maybe that's the key to the reactionary domination of American politics: irrational hatred and bitterness. Great motivator. Posted by: Nick at February 12, 2004 08:22 PM I'm not sure if you can draw any useful conclusions about Republican voters in general, or even Republican activists in general, from the crowd at FreeRepublic. It's like drawing conclusions about Linux developers based on the comments people leave at Slashdot. Posted by: Seth Gordon at February 13, 2004 09:24 AM so what we need to do is find someone other than david duke to run on a non-anti-jewish david duke platform (i.e. massive reduction in federal government and a 3rd world immigration ban). if this person gets more than 8% of the vote then kerry will probably win. honestly this is the only way that i think we have a chance. One can imagine whole populations of web-bloggers becoming ill. At least put up warning labels ;). Posted by: Aimie at February 13, 2004 06:19 PM Hmmm. I was just on the instapundit blog and Glenn Reynolds has a nice topic about Moby the sassy singer telling a journalist that democrats who want to send Bush home have to pass themselves as Conservatives mad at Bush for his deficits and proposed immigration policies. I find this all very funny, not to say fishy. Posted by: Ricky Vandal at February 14, 2004 10:45 PM Aside from the polier triviality... I don't think anyone cares about another blowjob story... the conservative assassins need to come up with another plot. Sequals don't hunt. I was surprised at the tone of the freerepublic bloggers. doesn't it seem like violent homosexual images dominate the imagery? and the hyperbole of course, the getting pissed on, and the either/or's. I think they are all whacked.
