The Other Kerrey Gets It Right

A good sign for the 911 Commission ultimate report- Bob Kerrey gets that our military actions in Iraq are breeding more terrorism:

our current strategy against terrorism is deeply flawed. In particular, our military and political tactics in Iraq are creating the conditions for civil war there and giving Al Qaeda a powerful rationale to recruit young people to declare jihad on the United States.

I work within blocks of Ground Zero. I feel no obligation to shut up and support the troops. Bush's policy is endangering my life more by the day.

And many Americans agree that Bush's policies are making things worse. See this Newsweek poll:

Americans are also increasingly concerned that by invading Iraq, the Bush administration has increased the risk that large numbers of people will be killed or injured in a future terrorist attack on the United States. Forty-two percent of those polled now share that concern

So basically we are pumping hundreds of billions of dollars into a war that is stupidly killing innocents in Iraq and fueling more violence to kill Americans.
