<< Return of Inflation | Main | A Knockout New Union >> April 15, 2004Competing Auto UnionsAn interesting story about competing campaigns to organize a Honda plant near Toronto-- by the US-based United Auto Workers (UAW) and the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW), which broke away from the UAW back in 1985. While it can seem a waste of resources to have two unions fighting to organize the same plant, a little pressure in competition has often historically focused attention on organizing.
