Stopping Iraq Profiteering

Charley Cray of the Corporate Policy Project has a good piece out on Global Security - Iraq and Corporate Patriotism: It's Time to Stop the War Profiteers. He proposes some basic common sense rules of thumb on giving out government contracts (all pretty much ignored by the Bush administration):

  • Full Disclosure of history of corporate compliance with federal laws.
  • Ban Corporate Tax Dogers from contracts.
  • Stop Excess War Profits; block contracts to companies paying excess CEO compensation.
  • No Contracts for Corporate Crooks- companies with SEC or other violations should not get contracts.
