So it's terminating a host of technology projects aimed at poor communities and schools. Yet 45% of Americans don't have Internet access and, more daunting, even schools with computers often have inadequate training for teachers on proper use of them (a program addressing teacher training is of course being cut by the Bush administration.) As we spend billions on high-tech hardware, the Bush administration is begrudging poor schools the few pathetic millions we are spending to address the digital divide in our society.Posted by Nathan at May 31, 2002 06:58 AM Related posts:
