Legalizing Napster Cyberwar

Give the Recording Industry credit; they are at least getting hip to the idea that they can't sue their customers into copyright submission. So their newest idea is to get legislators to legalize corporate jamming of the file-sharing networks with bogus copies and other electronic disruption. Assuming the industry can keep up in the tech arms race with hackers, they can hope to keep the process frustrating enough for most users to drive them back to paid services of some kind.
...This could set a new precedent for dealing with all kinds of illegal activities. How about allowing the alchohol industry to selectively poison pot distributed among teenagers to herd them back towards legal ways to drug their brains?
