Vouchers >> June 27, 2002Treaty Declared U.S. Not ChristianI was intrigued to find that the founding fathers signed a Treaty of Tripoli that specifically declared that the "Government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion" and therefore there could be no religious emnity with Muslims in North Africa.
