It's limiting health care access for richer veterans at the Veteran Administration hospitals, while it's actually defying Congressional law in allowing Medicaid patients to be denied emergency health care by HMOs set up by states. Who are they going to use to rescue their economic plans? How are they going pay for tax cuts for the wealthy and for Wars in Iraq and Korea if they don't the have poor to help balance their budgets? Posted by: radphag at January 17, 2003 09:49 PM Although the Bush admin DOES want to limit vets' health care, its timely announcement by VA Secretary Tony Principi was in fact a politically-timed effort (before budget passage) to force the Administration to come up with MORE money for vets' health care -- he *does* want VA services funded and is trying to squeeze his bosses by maximizing public opposition at a strategic time -- hurray for him! (Principi's probably by far the best of Bush's cabinet appointees) Posted by: petico at January 18, 2003 10:37 PM Think simple. Learn different.
