In addition veterans are getting shafted as well. - BTW I'm pretty much pro war. A Jacksonian when it comes to foreign policy. With a little Wilsonian thrown in. The limited raiseds for E-1s, E-2s, and O-1s is not to bad since (at least in the Navy) these ranks are held for usually less than a year. Concentrating the pay increases in the higher grades helps retain trained men. Generally people don't go into the service for the money, but money will keep them from staying. Posted by: M.
