<< Why MoveOn matters | Main | MoveOn - Kerry's Still the One >> June 27, 2003How Unions Help Low-Income WorkersRead this article on how unionizing janitors has helped a large section of this low-wage, uninsured workforce gain living wages and health care for their families. The state's budget cuts and hiring freezes arent helping though. Might I add that Dean has reached out to unions as well as his netroots. I agree with Kos' analysis in general (I just wouldn't include unions). Posted by: Lavoisier1794 at July 5, 2003 08:13 PM Clarification: Posted by: Lavoisier1794 at July 5, 2003 08:14 PM Oh, great! Now we get to support the health care costs of illegals thru the unions! You know, guys like me who pay 600 bucks a month for health care can't catch a break. My co employs less tha 50 people so we can't bargain with hmo's to get shit. Then our illustrious governor declares all state projects PLA's so we can't get work because we're non-union (not-anti).WE will continue to absorb other's costs.
