<< Paying for the Bullets | Main | Rent Control Increases Housing Costs >> September 23, 2003Poll IlliteracyNow, I don't usually go in for Sully bashing (fish-barrel problems) but this bit of illiteracy is ramping up a meme over at the Freepers that Gallup is cooking their poll numbers by oversampling Democrats and making Bush look bad. (More examples of this meme here.) Sully complains "Do most national polls have 48 percent Democrats, like the CNN/USA Today poll?" Read the poll description at the bottom where there are 480 (out of 1003) "Democrats and Democratic leaners"-- about the same boring numbers who voted Dem last time, hardly a shock. Actually if anyone has a complaint with the poll it's progressive Democrats, since the primary poll assumes the less liberal leaners will vote in the primary-- an assumption that skews the vote. This probably means that Wesley Clark's large lead among Dems is artificial. Posted by Nathan at September 23, 2003 11:05 PM Related posts:
