Ever notice how Americans abuse authority ONLY when there are cameras present? I read a lot of the mainstream media (Time, NYT, etc), and I've come to the conclusion that American policemen and soldiers are perfect angels whenever there are no cameras present.

Rodney King, My Lai, and now the recent Iraqi POW scandal. All photographed. There are allegations of other atrocities (No Gun Ri, Son Thang, Camp X-Ray, Kunduz, the list goes on and on), but I have to think that there would be more coverage if there were anything to them.

The lesson is clear--keep cameras away from the police and soldiers, and there will be no abuses. Nothing worth more than a couple of dismissive stories in the Times, anyway.

I agree. Those Americans are so bad. They now have more electricity in Iraq than before the war! Ditto for the schools. Those evil Americans even shut the rape camps down...
While I condem the prison incident the U.S. is doing the right thing, putting the evil dooers on trial.
What is going to happen to the Islamics that burned and mutilated American bodies??? Where is the international outrage????

I understand the abuse as appaling but why is it the many of the same people are comfortable with burning un-born babies alive with salt, or chopping in little pieces with a scissors, or sticking a scissors in their skull, and sucking the brains out. Many of the liberals logic is just not there. Ban Iraqi sick interrogation methods, and also this stench of Abortion idustry.
