In all the brouhaha over Pat Tillman, I thought, geez, another instance of how you got to be famous to get noticed when you die in Bush's war. I watched Nightline Friday night for that reason, because I wanted to see the faces and hear the names of those who died, ostensibly for us - but really for Bush and Halliburton. I was reduced to tears and had a hollow feeling for all we have lost and just do not realize.

I read the article on Pat Tillman, and it left me feeling the same way. God, what a neat guy! I wish I could have known him. I'm glad I found out he was more than just another jock and what we lost in his death.

The question here is, when is enough enough? How many more of our precious lives must be sacrificed to Bush's ego and contempt for us?

There is a reason that the muslims in the
middle east believe we are there to convert
them to our religion (my religion, sorry);
"In God we Trust" = on our money
"Easter, Christmas" = federal holidays
And of course, anti-Christian nuts like
Pat Roberts and Jerry Falwell have said as
much. It is disturbing that whoever is
going to die in this unholy war will be
considered an honorary Christian by my
pretentious peers in the church. And,
consequently, their untimely deaths will
serve as re-enforcement for the Bush
administrations' insane middle east policy.
I hate to say it, but Bush has really led
our churches away from the teachings of
Christ.
(P.S. to learn the teachings of Christ,
read the Gospels!)
