I didn't reserve tickets ahead of time and now they are basically sold out. I'm going to try to reserve one for tomorrow, but this movie is setting per theatre ticket sales, I would bet. Check out these ticket sales. On Friday night, despite being in one third as many theatres, Farhenheit 9/11 sold more tickets ($8+ million) than the next most popular film, White Chicks. On a per theatre basis, Farhenheit is grossing $9,447 per theatre (versus a more typical $2000 or so take in the first week of most films). We'll see if the movie can sustain anything like this pace once the partisans have seen the film, but the Blue States are registering their votes at the box office.
