<< Cingular Takes AT&T Wireless- Good | Main | Buddy Ro Gets SF Guardian Nod >> February 18, 2004Google Upgrades Search CapabilityUnder pressure from competition, Google has expanded the number of web pages it searches, and has improved its search algorithm. How can I tell it's improved? Cause if you search for "Nathan", this blog now is the first thing you find :) Ah the small joys of minor fame. Trackback PingsTrackBack URL for this entry: CommentsUnbelievable. I had to bust my a** for weeks to get a measly littke mention of my website. It's probably because of your amount of hits. Wish someone would teach me how to get hits. My message is important too. It should be heard too by many people. Posted by: Ricky Vandal at February 19, 2004 09:22 AM Good old reliable Nathan. Posted by: dmm at February 19, 2004 11:54 AM Not anymore. As of 3:00 on 2/19, the first hit was for www.nathan.com, the homepage of one Nathan Shedroff. Sorry. Posted by: Amy Phillips at February 19, 2004 03:01 PM this certainly is not an improvement. the general consensus is that google overrates blogs massively. i also have other problems with google's search like its crappy ability to search high quality reference sites, which are of course the best way to find reliable information. when yahoo gets their new search technology going i plan on dumping the google monster.
