Lula's the One

While the left is getting pummelled in Europe, it's making a comeback in Latin America, from Venezula's Hugo Chavez to the discrediting of the neoliberal economics of Argentina to, most exciting, the possible election of "Lula" de Silva in Brazil. See The Miami Herald - Brazilian candidate rattles investors. Lula leads a pluralistic left party that is admired around the world for its innovation at the local level and its integrity throughout. Disappointed in past years, this may finally be the party's year to take the top job.
