Things Rightwingers Worry About-

Progressives have worried that roposals to allow local police to arrest immigrants for INS violations will allow civil liberties abuses. Now, in a letter from a few prominent conservative leaders, we find out what rightwingers worry about, namely that somehow, somewhere corporate violators of discrimination and environmental laws might face local police enforcement. As the letter states, "If local police are to enforce our immigration laws, will they soon be required to seek out and apprehend those who violate our environmental laws, or the Americans with Disabilities Act as well?"
