Sullivan as Loathsome Toad

Brad DeLong rips on Andrew Sullivan. Sullivan ridiculed the Economist for finding the failure of Zambia's copper privatization an interesting story. As Brad notes, Sullivan reflects the elitist self-satisfied attitudes of many Western journalists (who can spend months tracking the whereabouts of one missing DC intern) but wouldn't see a real story in 15,000 workers having their lives destroyed due to neoliberal policies pushed by the West.
