Stop Block Granting of Head Start

Another program Bush wants to block grant is Head Start, a move that would potentially destroy one of the most effective programs in the county. As this piece notes, given state budget pressures, handing control of Head Start to the state just makes them a big target for budget cuts-- no doubt the goal in this whole round of block grant proposals.
