Environmental Suicide
The US is fighting a war because of fears of running out of oil.
The whole Northeast gets blacked out because the grid is overtaxed with too much demand for energy.
And new studies show lack of walking in surburbs feeds the obesity crisis in America.
So what does Congress do?
They slash funding for bicycle and walking paths.
The largest source of untapped energy is reducing consumption. Promoting conservation will not just save the environment and save us money-- it'll actually make us healthier and live longer.
Unfortunately, it won't make oil companies wealthy. So I guess it won't happen.
