UAW: One More Parts Supplier Neutrality Pact

Collins & Aikman , a major auto parts supplier, agreed to a neutrality pact with the United Auto Workers, assuring that where a majority of workers sign cards for a union, the company will recognize the UAW without harassment. The UAW has negotiated similar agreements to the one announced today with a number of major firms, including Lear, Johnson Controls, Ryder Logistics, Freightliner, Metaldyne, and Dana. This is all part of the aggressive campaign to organize the parts supply industry-- see this post.
