Turnabout- Fox Sued for Trademark Violation

Fox has been sued by the music group Arrested Development for using their name for their new sitcom of the same name.

Fox in its defense:

Fox said in a statement the show's title is a commonplace expression as well as "an established psychological condition." Arrested development is defined as "an abnormal state in which development has stopped prematurely."
All true and they should win their suit -- but goose for the gander is still very sweet.

There should be a basic rule-- if you want a trademark, make up a word. Use regular nouns or phrases and the courts should just dismiss the case on day one.
