Actual Good News for Middle East

The 'Geneva Accord' ceremony is now on, as Arafat faced down hardliners in Fatah to authorize Palestinian participation.

Palestinian hardliners dislike the Geneve Accord, a model agreement for peace, since it essentially renounces the right of return for Palestinian refugees in exchange for real sovereignty in the West Bank and Gaza.

Of course, representatives of Israel's government and the US won't be there, since the hardliners are RUNNING the government, but at least one grown up American will be there-- Jimmy Carter, still earning that Nobel Peace Prize. Way to go!
