SEIU Launches Blog

Here is a fun and interesting addition to the blogosphere-- the first official union blog, called Blog for the Future from the Service Employees International Union (SEIU)-- with the first post authored by none other than its President, Andy Stern.

Since I've done a bit of kibbutzing on the rollout of this endeavor, it's nice that Stern's writing in his own voice, rather than some institutional press release style. So check it out-- he basically compliments Kerry, gives kudos to Gephardt for a great career, while still holding strong for his guy Dean-- with a nice dig at Clark for bypassing Iowa-- "General this is not a war game, this is what democracy looks like."

The blog will apparently have guest posters from around the union and its membership, so it should be a good window on labor issues and values from across the largest union in the AFL-CIO.

Update: I stand corrected. The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) launched their Union Blog a few months ago.
