Refused C-Section: Charged w Murder

One more round on the abortion wars-- a woman was afraid of getting a Caesarean to deliver her children. Her refusal to get a C-section led to the stillborn birth of one of her twins, so local prosecutors are charging her with murder for ignoring her doctor's advice.

This is why I support abortion as an absolute right on demand to the second of delivery. Otherwise, the state takes on the right to dictate medical decisions.

If refusal to act becomes the new standard of homicide liability, let's start with the politicians. How about indicting those who don't fund Food Stamps or AIDS drugs for every child's death in the country or the world who dies of malnutrition or disease?

Read Body and Soul for more.
