Brits to Leave If Asked by Shias

If the Sadr insurgency evolves into a more general Shia rebellion, Bush better not count on the Brits to help:

Brig Carter [commander of British troops in southern Iraq] who has been in Iraq for four months, said British forces would stay in Basra with the consent of local Shia leaders, or not at all.
Yet pissing off Shia leaders didn't come up in the press conference as a possible mistake Bush might have made?
