Can I Mention How Much I Hate Gateway
I have to say that Gateway is the absolute worst company I have dealt with for customer service. Their customer support is so bad that, having dropped a few thousand dollars on a laptop three years ago, after it crashed and burned a few times, I was so frustrated that I actually gave up and replaced the computer altogether.
Because of a need for a second computer in our household, I decided to try to actually get the Gateway repaired (it's still under extended warranty on my credit card), but the experience has been as bad as I remember. I was literally on the phone for an hour and half, talking to various people, none of whom can pull up the same information from their computers. Maybe other folks have had a better experience with them, but it's amazing to me that they are still in business.
