And, yes, Miers is Anti-Choice

You want the most obvious evidence that Miers is hardline anti-choice? Look at her list of political contributions.

No, ignore the old Al Gore and Bentsen contributions and note that she's given exclusively in recent years to only Texas politicians, with ONE EXCEPTION-- Donald Stenberg in Nebraska.

And who is Donald Stenberg? The Stenberg of Stenberg v. Carhart, the late-term abortion decision and who has taken extremely strong stands against abortion in that election race to which Miers contributed:

"I am pro-life. On April 25, 2000, I will be in the United States Supreme Court defending Nebraska’s ban on partial birth abortions. This barbaric practice has no place in a civilized nation. In my opinion, Roe v. Wade is not sound constitutional law and should be overruled. This would allow our elected representatives to restrict and prohibit abortions."
If Stenberg is the one non-Texan she chose to contribute to, that pretty much tells you that the issue is of prime importance to her.

A good question for Miers in hearings is to ask if she agrees with Mr. Stenberg and, if she doesn't agree with his views, why was he singled out for such a unique personal contribution to his campaign?
