Broadband in the Air?

I've noted the wrongheadedness of forcing cable or the Bells to open up ISP "competition" as a route to greater broadband, but new technology by EtherLinx Communications may promise a better solution. Wireless Wi-Fi had already had the buzz, but EtherLinx is a nice-looking kludge on that tech to extend its range dramatically.
