Kirk Hit by anti-arab McCarthyism

In a slimy hit piece, a conservative Texas monthly, the Austin review, is accusing Texas Senate Candidate Ron Kirk of "links to Terrorism."
..What are these "links"? Apparently, a few thousand dollars paid to a staff worker who wrote some anti-Israeli articles while a student and who had met John Walker Lindh back in 1998.
...Oh yeah, and Kirk received a $500 contribution from an arab-american donor who has been accused of shipping computer equipment to Libya.
...In classic guilt by association, these thin threads are turned into a "links to terrorism" smear against a Senate candidate, the first black nominee from a major party in Texas history.
...We can expect this shit to rapidly climb up the media food chain.
