"The dustup with Germany is particularly personal with Rumsfeld, who has distant German relatives, whom he visited in the 1970s. They are so upset with his stance on Iraq that they have disowned him.

Although in fairness, they are not the only ones he visited in the 70s who he doesn't talk to much anymore."
