Halliburton Hates Democracy, even for Shareholders

Haliburton dirty dealings with Iran has stirred up investor opposition. Two New York City pension funds demanded a vote by shareholders on a review of those dealings. Haliburton sought to prevent it, but the SEC ordered the company this week to allow a vote investigating its off-shore subsidiaries in Iran, including those run under Dick Cheney's tenure at Haliburton. To avoid a formal vote, the company has now agreed to an investigation.
