Ding Dong WorldComs Dead

WorldCom's impending death by bankruptcy and lawsuit is a danger sign for the economy and a tragedy for its workers, but I can't help taking some grim satisfaction in its demise. WorldCom and its acquired MCI franchise embody all that was wrong in phone deregulation and the privatization of the Internet. I write quite a bit about them in my upcoming book Net Loss.
...Check out some WorldCom and MCI sections from the original Ph.D. version here and here.
