Unbelievable! Bush Wants SEC Funding Cut
Once again, Bush is using "security needs" to justify protecting his corporate buddies. Now he wants a 27% cut in the SEC funding than the recently passed legislation mandated.
Even Harvey Pitt admits this will undermine the agency: "Harvey L. Pitt, the commission's chairman, has acknowledged through a spokesman that the administration's level of financing will not allow it to undertake important initiatives."
