Joe Conason Launches Daily Column

Over at Salon, lefty attack dog (and I mean that in a good way) Joe Conason's first daily web column pounds not only on Bush but the passivity of the press in not howling at the political corruption involved in Dubya claiming the SEC "cleared him" of wrongdoing, when the officials who did so were his Dad's appointees:

A few years ago, such obviously compromised presidential relationships would have provoked exclamations of outrage on the editorial pages of the nation's great newspapers, culminating in demands for a congressional investigation and even an independent counsel...But that was when the president's name was Clinton, not Bush."
