Conservatives Upset w/GOP
One consequence of the Enron-WorldCom meltdown is demoralization on the Right, as Bush and other GOP leaders disown their previous anti-regulatory positions. Some like longtime conservative leader Paul Weyrich think the GOP should pound social issues to rally the troops, but even he fears that GOP association with big business will help the Dems gain in this year's election.
